Home Audrey Laviolette - Doula
Audrey is an anthropologist, with experiences in Canada and Colombia, where she learned English and Spanish as everyday languages.
Since 2009, Audrey has been a certified full spectrum doula. She is the mother of three children. She had the opportunity to become interested and trained in breastfeeding, baby sleep, parenting, non-violent communication with children, connected communication, etc. All this energy and life experiences, she has been sharing them for almost 10 years with the parents she accompanies on their journey around the birth of their child.
The principles that animate her meetings are: confidence in the woman’s intuitive knowledge, the ability of her body to carry life, to give birth, to feed her child, the ability of the unborn baby, the ability of the father to be a conscious actor with his partner and child.
She is collaborating with her colleague Stéphanie Vuylsteke. If parents so wish, they offer a duo support, according to their specificities and respective trainings. Some parents appreciate this complementarity. It is also sometimes reassuring for parents to know that two doulas take turns in standby to join them during childbirth.
Every Friday morning, Stéphanie and Audrey offer you consultations at the CHIREC clinic of Sainte-Anne Saint-Rémi (Anderlecht), with which they have a unique partnership. They are also accredited with the CHIREC hospital in Braine-l’Alleud and Delta hospital in Brussels.
They also accompany births in other hospitals (Sainte-Elizabeth, Ixelles Hospital, Saint-Pierre, etc.).
Audrey is member of the Association Francophone des Doulas de Belgique (AFDB).
