Nathalie Berg - doula

As a woman and mother of two, the world of pregnancy and perinatality has always attracted Nathalie and so she continued her journey by following doula training with the AFDB, the francophone association of Belgian doulas.

For Nathalie, being with you before, during and/or after the birth is important, because life is not always easy with a baby, and as a result you are trying to deal with intense emotions, disorganised daily life (and that’s normal), the re-appropriation of your body without forgetting the new dynamics in your relationship. Especially when you are living abroad, you do not have people you can rely on and who can listen/help you with practical matters.

Nathalie is delighted to do a job that gives her more energy and allows her to be present for the woman, the mother, the couple who need an emotional and informative support before, during and after birth. She has also taken the opportunity to become interested and train in haptonomy, parenting, non-violent communication with children, etc.

Nathalie is the co-founder of the non-profit organisation “Les Câlineurs de Bébés”, created a short time ago in Belgium. This association of volunteers aims to cuddle and offer moments of tenderness to toddlers, hospital. Indeed, numerous studies prove that a baby who is cared for very early with cuddles, soft words, kindness and attention will evolve better and safer.

Nathalie continues to follow training:
– October 2019 – June 2020 : 2nd year – training ‘Communication by Touch’ (haptonomy)
– November 2018 – March 2019 : training method ‘Succès Infini’ TM (trainee)
– February 2019 – June 2019 : training – organising ‘ateliers philo’ (philosophy workshops) for children en teenagers (Fondation SEVE).

Nathalie was an executive assistant for 20 years and started her reorientation by becoming a life coach (Elan Vital Institute of the BAO).

She speaks French, Dutch and English.
