Prenatal and postnatal yoga classes in Etterbeek (close to Schuman and Place Jourdan), or at your preferred location.
Yoga has been adapted to suit pregnant women and help them as their bodies transform through the pregnancy. The prenatal yoga postures are ideally created to prepare you (physically and mentally) for the delivery. Our main focus will be working with the pelvic floor muscles, breathing & relaxation techniques and connecting with the baby.
Likewise, postnatal yoga classes help women to recovery after the birth of their baby. The aim of the classes is to re-strengthen the core and abdominal muscles, the pelvic floor muscles, loosening tension in the neck and the back (from carrying the baby and breastfeeding), and working on improving general wellbeing and fitness.
Generally women can start with prenatal yoga in their second trimester (after the 14th week), and postnatal yoga 6 weeks after giving birth, or after 8 weeks if you had a C-section. However it is always best to consult with your doctor before you start with any kind of physical activity.
