I am Cindy, a German doula who is based in Brussels. Initially being a trained communicator and photographer, I decided to become a doula after the birth of my first baby in 2019. That birth was one of most beautiful and empowering experiences I had, also thanks to the great support on my side. In the future, I wanted to add my part, as I believe that no woman would feel alone, uninformed or without support while birthing her baby.
Since then I love taking care of you, your needs and your loved ones. This includes prenatal meetings on any subject that might be of interest or worry you and accompany you towards the birth of your little one, during birth and in the postnatal period. I also support families with preconception or during loss.
Additionally, I am a yoga teacher giving weekly prenatal and postnatal yoga clases in Ixelles/Uccle/Saint-Gilles. Those small and intimate groups help to get prepared for baby’s arrival and take a moment for yourself.
Other of my activities include the KGHypnobirthing course and (as from May 2024) cocooning perinatal massages.
I grew up in Germany but have lived over the last two decades in Spain, the UK and am now installed in Brussels with my little family.
Finally, I would describe myself as optimistic, empathetic and enthusiastic.
Prenatal doula support
The topics we touch during prenatal meetings vary entirely on your needs. We can prepare together the arrival of your baby, speak about any doubts and fears you might have. I sometimes cook together with the mums to fill up their freezer with meals for the postpartum period or we prepare energy-dense snacks for the birth.
Other activities include:
- Prenatal photography sessions
- Prenatal yoga classes (in group or individual)
- KGHypnobirthing course
Number of years of experience in prenatal doula support: 3 years
Labour & birth support
Can support labour and birth:
- in your home: YES
- in a birth centre: YES (Cocon, Erasme)
- in hospital: YES
Birth doula experience: 3 years and 8 births attended
Postnatal doula support
After birth, I am honoured to support you as well. Normally, postnatal visits take between 2 to 3 hours. And again, I am here for anything you might need. This could be answering questions about the newborn, breastfeeding or your recovery. But I also take care of your baby if wished so, while you have some time for yourself or other siblings. I can spend time with older siblings, organize the household, etc. And be sure that I will bring you a nourishing meal or broth.

Testimonials
“As a person, Cindy is incredibly warm, considerate and fun. As a doula, she is caring, professional, experienced, reliable and supportive. Throughout pregnancy, when we met with her, it never felt like she was just doing a job, we felt like she sincerely wanted to be there with us to get to know us. We in turn got to know her genuine personality and her incredible empathic listening ability, which makes you feel at ease to open up to her about anything. When offering advice, she is knowledgeable but gentle and considerate, always respecting boundaries.
My husband and I found her support to have been monumental in our labour story; she took care of both of us and we could not have done it without her. Cindy breathed with me through every contraction and her encouragement made me feel like I was strong enough to get through labour without any pain relief.[…]
Overall, we are endlessly grateful for having had Cindy at our side. Not only would I highly recommend Cindy with immense enthusiasm, we would also love to ask her to be there for us again when we would get pregnant again.”
